Cold-chain infrastructure plays a vital role in connecting agricultural production with urban consumption. As China continues to accelerate the deployment of cold-chain facilities and strengthen national logistics networks, the Phase II Cold Chain Processing Center of Ningxia Xiaoren Modern Agricultural Industrial Park has officially commenced operations.

Constructed by WISKIND Group, the project serves as a key agricultural modernization initiative in Ningxia and an important livelihood project supporting the region's supply of fresh produce, grain, and food products.
With a total investment of RMB 200 million, the facility integrates intelligent sorting, grading, distribution, cold storage, and logistics services for agricultural products, food, grain, edible oils, dairy products, and eggs. Once fully operational, it will significantly enhance the circulation efficiency and emergency supply capacity of Ningxia's specialty agricultural products.

As a leading provider of metal building system solutions, WISKIND delivered the complete steel structure package, including primary and secondary steel structures, roofing, and wall cladding systems, providing an integrated solution from design to construction.
"From design drawings to final completion, WISKIND demonstrated professionalism throughout the entire project," said Ren Aimin, Chairman of Ningxia Xiaoren Fruit Industry Development Co., Ltd. "Cold-chain facilities demand strict performance standards in airtightness, waterproofing, and thermal adaptability. WISKIND's solution gave us confidence in the long-term efficiency and reliability of the park."

Located in Ningxia, the project faces challenging environmental conditions, including strong winds, intense solar radiation, frequent sandstorms, and significant day-night temperature fluctuations. To address these challenges, WISKIND implemented its comprehensive PEB (Pre-Engineered Building) solution.
The roofing system features the SR6® Standing Seam Roof System with a 450-degree mechanical seam, combined with factory-applied sealant and sliding clips to ensure superior waterproof and wind-resistant performance. The system is also designed to accommodate future rooftop photovoltaic installations, supporting the owner's sustainability objectives.
For the façade, WISKIND adopted the 780S Corrugated Wall Panel System in a vertical arrangement. Manufactured using premium Baosteel substrates and backed by a 50-year warranty, the panels feature PVDF fluorocarbon coating with self-cleaning properties, ensuring long-lasting durability and color stability under harsh environmental conditions.
To achieve high construction quality, WISKIND's technical team carried out full-scale mock-up layout verification, optimized material integration, and implemented precise flashing and edge-sealing techniques throughout installation.
"Cold-chain facilities connect farms to dining tables, and building quality is the starting point of product freshness," said Wei Jiajun, Chairman of WISKIND Group. "We are honored to collaborate with Xiaoren Fruit Industry on this important livelihood project and contribute to the modernization of agricultural logistics through reliable industrial building solutions."
The new facility is expected to handle over 2,000 categories of agricultural products. As Ningxia's wolfberries, Lingwu dates, and fresh vegetables begin their journey from this modern logistics hub to consumers across China, WISKIND's contribution extends beyond the delivery of a building—it represents a long-term commitment to safer, fresher, and more efficient food supply chains.
